My true success is seeing farmers thrive with resilient, profitable systems built for the long run.
Rowan O’Connor
Director, Braeburn Enterprises
Passionate about building a better future for agriculture, Rowan O’Connor brings nearly 20 years of agri-sector expertise, shaped by a career that spans hands-on farm management, technical consultancy, and strategic business leadership.
Born and raised on a New Zealand farm, Rowan consolidated his knowledge with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Hons) from Lincoln University. Since graduating in 2005, his career has taken him from managing, developing, and converting farms in Chile, Southland, and Canterbury, to working at Dairy Business Centre where he advanced from Technical Sales Representative to Sales Manager, and later Senior Agricultural Supervisor.
This diverse background gives Rowan a unique strength: the ability to bridge technical insight with strategic execution. He has supported clients across New Zealand and internationally, delivering measurable improvements in profitability, infrastructure, and sustainability. Whether designing whole-farm systems, restructuring finances, or guiding governance, Rowan’s advice is grounded in on-farm realities and backed by data-driven analysis.
Resilient Leadership
Calm In Pressure
Rowan is the person you call when things are tough. He brings clarity without drama, asks the right questions, and gives you a plan you can actually execute. He’s steady, practical, and genuinely invested in the outcome — not just the numbers.

Real-world judgement
What sets Rowan apart is his judgment. He doesn’t just hand you theory — he understands the farm, the family and the finances, then helps you make the right call. You feel like someone’s in your corner.

Respect from owners and boards
Rowan brings a level head and straight talk. He can sit in the paddock with the manager in the morning and in the boardroom that afternoon, and both sides feel listened to and backed.
